Now that this project is finished I thought I would share how we got here.
Several months ago, Liz Barr from Art Resources contacted me about a Special Display for the New Moxy Hotel on Biltmore Ave in Asheville. After multiple calls and emails, I presented a few options and a quote, and we were off on this journey. It was great working with Liz, we were on the same page from the beginning. The goal was to create an eye-catching display that would fit the theme. I will let the piece speak for itself, but I feel we met the goal.
The Display Still is a beautiful 120 Gallon Copper Still with 2" Copper Arm to a newly refinished 55 Gallon Whiskey Barrel Thumper with a 3/4" Copper Arm over to the newly refinished 55 Gallon Whiskey Barrel Condenser (Worm). Even though it's a Non - Functional Display it is built the same way a Functional Still would be. The pot is constructed out of Lead-Free Revere Copper, Silver Solder, Type L Lead Free Copper Pipe, Fittings and Stainless Steel Temperature Gauge and Authentic White Oak Whiskey Barrels.
